I can’t say anything about that company but don’t be afraid of smaller operations. I’m only running 11 trucks and a brokerage and I’m probably one of the most secure operations out there. Sometimes the smaller guys are where it’s at.

We’ll do about 6m in revenue this year and make more money then plenty of companies doing 35 or even 50 mil. It’s all in the details my friend.

I don’t see it that way. Suggesting one be cautious? Would you like the stats on trucking companies, under 50 trucks that go bankrupt every year and a percentage? It’s quite high. Even in this market. My point is, it’s 200,000+ investment just for the truck right now. Be careful. Ask for their financials and backing before signing on.

Been in business for 8 years. They only run brokered freight off the load boards, so plenty of freight to pick from. Not sure what you mean by pushing paper?

    Do they have a yard?
    A shop?
    Equipment?
    Hard assets?
I actually looked them up and there’s a typical vague advertising entity. “You can make up to 8000 weekly“ that could mean literally anything. Lol what does “make“ mean. Is that really $3000 after all overhead abd expenses? Does it include deduction for unexpected repairs, down time, etc.

Sorry I’m just tired of the trucking industry getting away with slight of hand and misleading advertising about how much people make per week driving a truck. It’s so overdone.

when I’m inquiring about a new driving position the recruiters do not like me. Lol because I get to the bottom of the truth every time. I know what I’m going to make weekly or monthly.

As O/O taking on all that risk, you best be taking home $2500 very absolute minimum per week after every single expense to justify that risk / reward ratio, in my opinion. And I emphasize that the minimum amount. Because as a company driver right now, if you really drive hard you can make $1800 a week or maybe even more at the right company. And assume zero risk.

You're going to spend 200k to run spot freight? You're a brave man.

He’s been around since 2015. I was going to lease on there in 2017,but he didn’t want to lease any more trucks on until after his insurance renewal. It would have been about 45 days and I didn’t want to wait that long.

In my opinion, you shouldn't be spending $200k and then relying on someone else to do what's best for your investment. There were HUGE trucking companies going out of business recently. Would you have felt more secure in one of them?
