I keep telling 1099 drivers don't do it. there are only a couple ways to do 1099 legally and ethically. Your owner has no excuse for not paying you, but the question I have is this - did you pick the loads or were you told what loads to take? If it is a case that you pick the loads, then you should have a contract and consider this a breech of it. IF it is the case you were told what loads to do, then contact the IRS and the state labor board and file a complaint with both claiming you are an employee.
Our drivers ALWAYS have access to their ELD logs. They can print, they have the USB or they can transfer onto their own USB. There is no reason a driver shouldn't have access to his ELD logs. You have to show the last 7 days upon request.
