For a small town, there is a lot of mining history here. Empire Mine State Park, North Star Mine, among others, not to mention the longest, single span, covered wooden bridge in the world, right here in Penn Valley.

It sure is, took 2 full weeks for bridge review, then last minute on Monday the 11th they approved and issued permit. Then had to wait for Maryland State Police escort to finally roll out Wednesday morning

Holy cow, and I was just making a wise crack!!!! On a serious note, do you get paid for having your truck tied up that long, do you just sit and wait or leave the trailer and pull something else?

I am just a company driver, we sat and waited the whole time. Me and another company driver, plus 2 of our company pilot cars that were there a day before us. They are in hotels every night
