Not a load yet but getting our new trailer setup this week.

 

Is that a 140?

 

What's the point of having such a high deck with that little short drop?? I'd think it'd be a handier trailer if the deck was level.

 

It certainly looks to be built for a specific load as the gooseneck does not appear to be detachable, and the deck height and design are not for walking equipment on/off.

 

My guess is for pressure vessels.

 

It's built mostly for hauling large generator rotors. The neck is indeed fixed as @Oxbow guessed. There are also 2 deck extensions I could put in if the length was needed.

We specialize in power and water industry. No need for a removable neck for us.

Deck height is 30" for the lower and 39" over the tridem in back.

I'm still trying the learn everything I can about this though. We bought this trailer from the guy who built it. We used to contract him when we had anything big enough that we couldn't cover it with our 7-8 axle setups. He's wanting to move on though so he sold us the equipment and is helping me learn how to do it.

It's all lined up for now because I had never pulled anything more than a 4 axle lowboy before so I took it for a ride just to get used to how it turns. Was surprised just how sharp it can turn actually. The only thing I really have to watch for is that the booster is fixed. Just have to keep in mind that I have almost 20 ft of tail swing behind it.
