Why ? OOIDA is guaranteed to lose this battle the same way they lost the battle on hot fuel , fuel surcharges , split sleeper , Ontario speed limiters and countless others . The only time OOIDA "wins" is when a more powerful organization is fighting for the same thing .

    Les2 Thanks this.

Rick look at what you just said ...."The only time OOIDA "wins" is when a more powerful organization is fighting for the same thing."....The only way any organization gets to where their at is thru membership. You know the the old saying...theres power in numbers, well if you dont join something to help fight for your rights who will? Is OOIDA a save all for every one?NO but you and I are from Kentucky we can call Frankfort and raise hell with them cause we live and vote here, but we have zero say in any other state. When we call Washington we only can talk to are congressmen and only hope they will do what we want...:biggrin_25526::biggrin_2551::biggrin_2554:...(LMAO)...ok, back to my point. You remember back in the day when you had to have that blue Ky windshield tax sticker(cant remember what that tax was called) OOIDA got that tax overturned, got Keith Bissell, former chairman of the Tenn Public Service fired for jurking around truckers. And the list goes on and on as to what OOIDA has done for us. How do you think the NRA gets there stuff done...its there size in membership. Doed the NRA get every thing they want? Of course not but whit out them I dare say we would have to get a permit to get a BB gun. No organization is ever gonna get every thing done that every single member wants but as a whole you can get alot more done than trying to do it by are self.

Is OOIDA the grandest, greatest thing going? NOPE none of them are but they believe in alot of the things I do and that why I am a life member.

    Just my 2 cents. :biggrin_25520:

I'm not going to turn this into an OOIDA pro/con thread . Everybody has their opinion but when I was a member they were useless for my needs . They couldn't tell me where to get full insurance coverage to apply for authority . There's more but I'm not going there .
