I remember before cell phones,
Pulling over on the shoulder of the interstate,
Turn on the 4-ways, and cutting through the woods
To the gas station to find a pay phone, to get the
Load information.
What really sucked was when someone had ripped
The cord from the phone or you ran out of quarters from
Sitting on hold. Lol.
We got it so much easier now.Suspect Zero, Dale thompson, austinmike and 2 others Thank this. -
I dunno...do we?
Back then, it was expected that we needed time to read a map, call for directions, and get ahold of dispatch when we could get to a pay phone. These days, everyone wants it done NOWNOWNOW, and if you're even a millisecond beyond what they consider 'acceptable,' you'll have your arse chewed like a piece of gum.
The good old days weren't necessarily bad.MOBee, Suspect Zero, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.
