    EXACTLY!!!!

Where there is a will there is a way. There is Definetally a way to bring more transparency to frieght brokerage without a huge negative impact on the market or transportation industry. Will it require alot of work to make it happen??? #### right it will!!! Will it happen over night??? #### no!!! Will it probably require more paperwork and record keeping for all involved if it comes to pass??? Most likely.

This is crazy. Owners dont even reveal their secrets to other owners. Why is this different? The ones wanting transparency were unprepared for the bad. Business ain't always good. My question is, what if the shipper really wasn't paying squat on the load at that particular time? They are in the money game too.....

But it's also a pro-broker propaganda piece. So...says who? The brokers? Lol

That is how mega carriers make their money. They hire “o/o” and pay them whatever they feel like .
If this transparency deals happens , most likely a 3pl will ask for more money .

Funny you should ask... If that driver is paid by percentage, then yes they do.... THEY ARE REQUIRED TO UNDER PENALTY OF LAW!!!!

Percentage paid driver/carrier relationship is Beginning to sound an awful lot like the carrier/broker relationship to me.

I didn't take it as a pro-broker piece. These folks dont seem ignorant. I think its many new-ish operators that think they are the only ones trying to make something on that load. Many think that brokerages dont have overhead. If the freight needed to be moved, then the broker would put money on it, like they did in the beginning of coronavirus pandemic. With everyone out of work, how did they expect that boom to last?

Why does a percentage driver get access to that knowledge as opposed to a cpm driver? Are they not both company drivers? Or are we talking about lease purchase drivers, and some of them get paid anywhere from 65 -75 percent on average. Maybe more. I am not seeing why that's different. If I want to split hairs, then I could argue that cpm is a percentage of that load revenue, albeit a small one lol

Percentage drivers are entitled to that info specifically because they are paid a percentage of what the carrier is paid for the load. Doesnt matter if they are company drivers, L/P, or true O/O.

Why is this? Because the drive is entitled to verify that he is indeed being paid what ever percentage he is entitled to as stated in his agreement with the carrier.

The funny thing is, if they drag this out a year or two before the new rules come down, how many of those that were protesting will still be in business? The rest of us will be left to deal with what they caused.

And I don’t even haul broker freight, my concern is this trickles down to everyone and I really don’t want my rates disclosed.

Would you have a problem with the shipper seeing what you were paid by the broker to haul a brokered load for that shipper?
