Bulk Potato Load with Vent/Inspection Door Open?

    The next morning when I got up, the temp was finally at 45. There were no issues after with the temp. The load was delivered with clean bills. I asked the receiver about these hot loads, and he said that the load needs to be under 70 or 80 (if I remember correctly) for them to be able to accept it. I was relieved to hear that.

    Next time I do one of these loads I will precool the trailer to 35 and also turn off the reefer while loading as leaving it on pulls in warm air into the trailer. As for the washout, I removed all of the leftover potatoes and managed to only get charged a regular fee at Blue Beacon. By the way, once unloaded, leave your trailer vent open and dispose of the potatoes right away as they will go bad and stink the trailer, especially in this summer.
