Hello. Need some advice from CAT gurus Can be combined BXS cylinder block with fully packed 6nz head (camshaft, injectors, etc)?
The cylinder block in my 6nz was damaged by broken connecting rod. Want 6.75" stroke crankshaft but with C15 liners and milled to16.1:1 pistons, single turbo and without IVA/VVA. As far as I know 6.75" stroke crankshaft from Acert wouldn't fit C15 PRE acert block, or I'm wrong?
It will fit. I run one in my engine. Must use the acert pistons and rods with the acert crank. And acert piston cooling nozzles You milled the acert pistons, right? One more thing, use the acert water pump also. It flows more volume of coolant.
I found person who sells BXS acert block with crankshaft and so on (the cylinder head on his acert CAT has cracked second time, so he decided to swap on DD 12.7 S60 engine). He asks very reasonable price for the cylinder block with crank, oil pump, oil pan, front valve/crankshaft timing gears etc. So, due to my damaged 6nz block I'm thinking about building such configuration: my existing 6nz cylinder head with camshaft, 70pin ADEM3 ECM, injectors, turbo + BXS cylinder block with 6.75" stroke crank, 5.4 bore liners, acert rods and pistons milled to 16.1 compression ratio for single turbo
I actually just bought a truck that has the opposite. 6NZ block with a Acert Head. Turned up to 660/2300 and she runs strong af. I’m turning her down to 550 though. A little to hot for my taste. Lol
