that very thing happened to me this week picked up my trailer early monday morning from fabrikal and it had 3 marker lights out 1 on top in the front and the 2 marker/turns in the middle of the trailer.turned out there was a broken wire on the bottom lights so that was definately brike when they dropped the trailer. called on call mechanic he said take it to a TA .. took it to the buckhornTA since i had to go out toward pittsburgh for my delivery .. when i got there the only mechanic on duty just left for a road call so i sat there from 3 am to 6:30am called eddie to tell him i wouldnt make the delivery on time and he had to reschedule it for tuesday.. so someone being lazy cost me a day of driving.......

Thought i would share this because its not often you actually feel appreciated when making a delivery.. after my fiasco monday with the trailer i was asked if i wanted to take a load of playground from lewistown to Denham springs,LA. i thought sure gets me out of the N.E. for a week... when i called for directions the girl couldnt thank me enough for bringing the stuff down and explained to me that it was for a elementary school that was destroyed by hurricane Katrina ... I delivered it this morning and as we were unloading it the kids where coming in to school and you could here their excitement as they drove by and saw what was there...it actually made me feel like i did something good not just bump a dock and get the stuff off !!!!!!

I did one of those loads to a playground in downtown New Orleans, and the folks who arrange everything, and the volunteers who did the unloading were some of the nicest folks I've ever met. They too were very appreciative.

I too have felt a sense of pride delivering this playground equipment. I've delivered it to a school in Tampa for special needs children, I brought it to a childrens hospital and I've brought it to the huge navy base in Bremerton Wa for the preschoolers whose moms and dads are overseas supporting our ground troops in Afganastan. The look on their faces is priceless. But the one I delivered this past Tuesday made me sick. I delivered it to a housing development (the hood) in Pahokee Fl. All I kept thinking was now the crack dealers, pimps and ho's now have a place to rest after working so hard.

I did help, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. It always amazes me how some people seem to enjoy living a certain way. I always go through life and it's journey's with this one saying in my head, you can be part of the problem, or part of the solution. I saw the problem Tuesday then quickly got out of there and was now part of the solution.

No. It was a short, late 20's to early 30's young woman. Can't remember her name, though. I only did the one load for them before I was put on that dedicated account.
