That's why you don't answer the door but instead pop open the vent window in the sleeper and inform them your on a DOT 10 hr break he will have to come back in how ever many hrs just be sure to tell him to come back back an hr after your break will actually be over.

 

Or in 34 hours. Sounds reasonable to me -- after all, dealing with DOT is a job duty of being a truck driver, not something you choose to do on your off time. But I have a feeling the officer won't see it that way.
