Can I get access to Landstar’s loadboard?

Please indulge us. I want to learn what I'm doing wrong.

 

Spent like $20 on food and coffee yesterday. Is that figured into the operating expense?

And since Uncle Sam alots you $62? $67? a day is that $20 still an expense?

Is the $67 incorporated into your rate per mile even though you are sitting like I am today?

What about cat treats? A box of cat treats is $9. Cat treat cost for the last 2 weeks is $0.0013 a mile.

 

You're a smart guy I'm sure you'll work it out in due course.

 

In other words you have nothing. I gave you an example of my actual fuel cost. What's your's?

 

my costs are around 70 cents a,mile ... fuel is between 30 and 40 cents the rest of that is variable but no where near 1.70 a mile .......... I know i am still alive so I must be making a living

 

Impossible. You are not only not making a living, you're losing $20K year.

 

I forgot he's a big company. His overhead for admin and stuff is like $1.00 mile.

 

perhaps @Ridgeline or @Midwest Trucker may have some answer's for you, I know neither of those guys personally, however they both run fleets of varying size.

12% of $1.60? Your fuel cost is $0.19 mile. Astonishing. Your trucks get 14 to 16 MPG. You are in the wrong business sir. The big manufactures will right you a check for billions to have your secrets.
