I’d go with the least amount of physical labor involved, if you plan on moving to LTL soon. Best talk to Drivers at each place. Melanesia’s commercials, sound pretty good. Good Luck to you.

Have you considered the other option...porn?
At some point you are going to get screwed in either industry so why not skip the middle man... ;)

I've talked to guys from coke and the beer place. Beer place they seemed overall happy, coke they all cry about the trucks because they are old. They are old pos but I've driven much much older, one guy was #####ing because they were 10 speeds. I guess new people are starting to expect automatic transmissions? The guys at Coke get paid well and the benefits are awesome but they seemed like a bunch of babies to tell you the truth. I haven't had a chance to talk to any guys at McLane because I don't really see them too much anymore. I used to notice them when I was out on the road with UPS because we would deliver the same places. I know they get paid well and they have to earn every penny of it, those dudes work their ##### off.

Dare I ask why you are leaving ups? I'm assuming you were in feeders? I used to help out during peak over there and I must say it's by far the most relaxed and rested I'd ever been in a truck. Money and benefits were hard to beat too.
If you're in package car is the list too long for feeders?

I already left. I was in a package car and then a feeder. It was well rested for you because you were help. It's a totally different story if you work for them and also depending on which hub. I put my time in and made my money so I got out. It's a great company to work for as far as the money goes and I would recommend it to everyone but the whole shareholders controlling EVERYTHING is making it a #### show for the guys that were there before it got bad. As far as rested...we had to get language in our contract to try to cut back on forced overtime. I recommend it, it's a great place of you want to make some money. I started there at 20 years old and ran my ### off until I was 37. House paid for, cars paid for, it serves a purpose. To give you a lil perspective on how it's run now, when I left my supervisor was a 22 year old kid that had never driven anything. He worked on the preload for a year lol.
