That was me standing in the rain with all the other poor saps too dumb to come in out of the rain. I understand we need to be trained; however, the other truck with its trainees were in their cab "learning." Instead, our trainer wanted us to do more pre-trip BS... IN THE RAIN. Now, I'm sick and not sure whether I will have the will, desire, or ability to get up at 0400 in the AM. Peace, Scott

Guess what?
You better learn to pre-trip in the rain, snow, sleet and hot conditions.
I hope you don't think that driving is all about sitting behind a wheel. -
everyone be safe out in the bad weather.

Yea!! Am in my home state now. Have a load going to Duncan then can DH to the house. Am really looking foward to taking a break. Next month, I'll be taking my 4 days off in Lancaster, PA. Going to help my sister celebrate her 50th BD and give her heck about it at the same time.
Temp here is not that bad, 25, but OMG.......the wind is really cooking. Bout froze my little tush off while fueling. Wind is to my back at the moment but the truck is rocking pretty good.
Deacon, don't worry bout things. Know your going to bounce back and feel better in the morning. You are going to have to get used to crappy weather in this job. Keep the faith bro and all will work out.
1BAD, you know I'm going to raise a toast or 2 or even 3 or 4 while at the house. Hope the truck got fixed right and that your out making money. 7 come 11 and momma needs a pr of new shoes. lol
Thanks Chrome. That is one lesson I won't forget.......till next winter. hehehehehe -
Whew... feeling lucky to be in Florida at the moment. Well not for much longer, got to DH from Tampa to Columbus, GA then on to Dallas.
The Home Depot Xmas tree run was interesting. Now I have much more experience in putting this W9 in places it should not be.
Well, enough of this good weather for me... time to jump back in the mess with the rest of y'all.
oh... and Deacon, haven't been ignoring you, just been busy. -
Central truck got caught up on the curb at the home depot near my farm.
It wasn't anybody from the forum, but I brought the farm tractor down and pulled him free. I came back wearing my Central hat. He seemed pretty suprised. The Challenger Thanks this. -
Yeah, them curbs can be rough in those parking lots. I may be a rookie driver in a W9, but out of 5 home depot deliveries, at least I didn't jump a curb, kill a bush, damage a tree, or reposition a boulder.
Sitting in the middle of Alabama trying to drag some of this warm weather with me to Dallas. I must say, I almost felt guilty running the AC in Columbus with everyone else running around in the cold that seems to be affecting the rest of the country. -
They are deadheading form Sacramento to Portland, to pickup a load of X-mas tress going to Phoenix... SCORE!
-
Sittin at the TA Rawlins WY I-80 is still shut
, trucks parked every where, and the parking lot is like an ice rink
.
I heard it was nasty in Omaha NE, Des Moines IA, lottsa snow.
Winter is here! -
