Throw bleach on your xda energies

Keeps em from spinning so much up on those back roads in Alberta & BC during the winter.

Hold glad hand where you want it
Tap it with a light duty hammer like you play with your weiner perfect 90 degree seal every time.

Does anyone have a trick for stubborn tandem locking pins? Mine are the biggest pain in the ###! Unless the truck and the trailer are on perfectly leveled plain its near impossible to get them to release.

Always carry 2 white out markers in the cab....Once you scale your load-make a white dot above the hole you are in, so if you need to slide so many holes you know where you started. I also leave a white dot below the bottom hole where I end up....in case I need to readjust again after fuel if heavy ect.

Go to Walmart and purchase a 5 gal plastic painters bucket usually 8 bucks and also get 13 gallon-black trash bags...Doubles as a trash canister and crapper in emergencys.

NOW BACK TO YOUR REGULER SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING......

    I disagree.

I like to see where I'm going, and a lot of those lots are not that bright.
I've been nearly run over, by those 'veterans' that turn off their headlights, more than once.

If you can spray them down with water, it may well help to loosen them. Just tap water, in a spray bottle may do the trick. I've seen guys use spray lubricant of various kinds on them. It works at first, but it also collects all kinds of crap and corruption, and just makes them harder to release on down the road.

your tandem rails are probably out of align
if one pin is pinched against the front and other side is against the back of a hole
I take it you always have the same trailer
I rock the trailer after releasing the pins LIGHTLY usually releases

Or you can try beating the snot out of the pins, with a hammer, once you have the handle pulled and locked.
