Arrived in Fontana. Turning truck in tmrw morning. New fifth wheel, Qualcomm antenna, and a PM A to be done. I'm heading to the house as soon as I turn the truck in. Probably 3-5 days off, gotta get away!

Received a nice surprise on my settlement today. Got reimbursed for the $550 I spent getting the APU fixed and the $121 I spent getting the plu problem diagnosed. Total paid to me was over $2300 on my settlement, had over $1600 coming to me before the above additions. This week will be much lower, as I haven't pulled a single load and I'm not sure I will. Time off is nice, but costly!

No different if the local taco stand closes for a week. Your a business, businesses need money to survive. Bills don't stop because your not making money. Time of is nice but number one reason why drivers fail.

Headed back out on Sunday. Two day trip to Denver that will pay me enough to cover my payment and fuel. Then headed over to MO and then to OK. Be there on Friday, we'll see where I go after that.....

How bad was the damage for the 5th wheel...? You know that thing was toasted when you got the truck...

P.S. I put 7k in repairs into my paid off truck last Month..... So don't feel bad.

They replaced the ENTIRE fifth wheel assembly, including the mounting plate attached to the frame. Shop told me it went well, no problems. No cost to me, covered under warranty. I plan to hook up to about 100 trailers before I leave out on Sunday! Just to be sure.
