On my way to work, I saw a red Coca-Cola Day Cab pulling a Swift Trailer through Wichita, KS. Any reason why?

Not a big deal or real mystery at all. Coca Cola, Ashley, UPS, and a few others will pull our trailers at times. Coke was probably going from one DC to another with their product loaded.

We have a few spots on several swift yards that they let us use for drop lots so the truckload guys like me can run LTL loads out and drop them then those guys pick them up and run their routes. This one came out of Syracuse for a back haul to get me back down to our PA DC for my next trip.

lol and you can bet they don't give up the good ones. This one was junk but the other one I had to choose from was an old MS trailer and it really was junk

Swift will drop trailers at suppliers for Ashley Furniture. If an Ashley driver empties out nearby, and a Swift trailer is loaded waiting to go an Ashley DC, the Ashley driver will drop his trailer, grab the Swift and head back to the DC. They are simply utilizing their equipment and resources in an efficient manner. Companies pulling other companies trailers is a common sight.
