Blood pressure. I wish they’d tell you to focus on this in school. It hit me too but luckily I got it down asap. You’ll need to apply to way more than 3 companies. I was applying to several everyday and even with that I was getting a small percentage of follow up.

Apply everywhere, then call to follow up, but don’t be surprised if it’s mostly OTR and Class B jobs responding since you’re new. Try food service and beverage companies like Pepsi if you want to stay local. Yellow won’t be on any “approved schools” lists to get you past experience requirements.

I applied to a few more yesterday. Ryder, Sysco, Gordon Food Service, Pepsi, and Coca Cola. Sysco called me today and said just get your medical card this weekend and hit me back on Monday. Ryder had a no experience post so I applied. MLS told me they will take me. I trained on a short pup trailer so the turning of a 53 foot trailer will be different. The food and beverage companies their trailers are shorter.

Sysco drivers work hard, but make a lot of money.
You'll be in great physical condition after about 3 months.
I did a similar job hand unloading at grocery stores and soon had muscles popping out where I didn't realize I had muscles. People started asking me if I'd been going to the gym and working out.
