If i did I would be recruiting you back,LOL

No its the "big picture"most come here and think its all roses,Oh i wont blow smoke up your skirt on that,I would be lying,,and yes it was better when we were a shade of Red,,but if you can do better in another company i wouldnt blame you ,actually i would encourage it,I myself after 15 years out here am tired of being away from home,im pursuing a daycab job (and big pay cut),thats why I stay,I coould jump too,and go to another TL company, take a paycut and still do the same thing,so why do it?? but thats just me

Is CWTL for everyone,NOPE,most who come, leave,,,its the nature of the Operations Dept,it doesnt change or bend for no one(including me)

If your a company hand most if not all TL companies are the same, its how you feel in it,but ive posted this a few times before

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...n-way/162192-conway-tl-10-tips-make-here.html

If your not happy here(anywhere really) well you have to make that decision for yourself, but the reality is this right now, country is in a recession freight is stagnet

I'm proud of him, don't know him, sounds like somebody that focus on the positive, rather than living under a umbrella of negativity.
Anytime there is somebody that is happy or proud to work somewhere, you have somenody that hides behind a message board name, and is so unhappy with themselves.
There is not a organization that you can't find fault with.
Looking at your 5 posts, one can see the direction you lead tour life.

Maybe he is a black op spy for the company.
Jessie Ventura's left hand man, with thermite paint, brother.
There is always one that has a conspiracy theory to try to spin.

I would say your partialy correct.
I think the weekly fleet average is in the 2300 mile range.
I would suspect that a majority of drivers aren't home every weekend, that's the nature of the biz.
But there are also many drivers in regional fleets that live in the lanes that do or can get through the house weekly.
I doubt you can take 2 days off every week and still,be up un that top side of the average, but with a little luck, a day through wouldn't be unimaginable.
I think its almost a 50/50 deal sometimes regarding miles.
I think 50% is on the drivers shoulders.
Go sit with one of those incapable planners and see how many drivers shoot themselves in the foot just by not utilizing their hours, day etc.
Also keep un mind, the planners have little control over what is booked freight wise.
We are a sales driven company, sales makes the deals, planners are given the loads (good or bad), and the drivers are put on said loads.

A driver doesn't have any control over the freight that is assigned, but can put him/her/themselves in the best position thet can, by planning trips, utilizing hours, getting where the need to or as close as possible. Having full hours when possible. Not starting clock. Basic trip planning.

I do wonder, if not happy with a outfit, why stay?
There are lots of them out there

I personally have never said Con-way is without issues.
    I too come from CFI.
Was it better back then, maybe so.
Was it better 20 years ago when I hired on; maybe so.
Why expend the energy to bash?
    Can I change history, nope.
I firmly think when you look at the advantages, they out weigh the negative.
To many added benefits that the bashers fail to account for.

Happy trails to all that are happy.
And for those that are not, move on with yah, crying ain't going to change anything.
Maybe if things are so bad, enough will leave, and you can take credit for the wake up call.
Better yet, put your name on it, and march into Herbs office and tell him what you think.

I should add, I only got 2000 miles for the week.
Took a hit in El Paso, many trucks, no freight.
Tough patch, here for the weekend.
    Happy,not really since I'm hilited.
Not much I can do, collect layover, see a movie, enjoy the sunshine and blue skies, eat nice meal, visit Mexico.
It's what you make of it sometimes.

I don't know where you get that I am bashing, but whatever...overall I am happy here. But I do have a problem with the planners at this company, no doubt about it. You can't tell me that after you put in your empty call you dont wait hours for a load(sometimes, I am not saying all the time) just to get a load that you can tell from the times on it that could have been given in the beginning and gone straight to pick up, instead of waiting around. They need to preplan way more then they do. It allows the driver the opportunity to plan his/her day better. I always go on the board with plenty of hours and know very well how to maximize my driving and availability. Now you can come back with your smart comments about how I don't know all they have to deal with and all that jazz. I know I could do it better, I would preplan everyone, I know it can be done. Good example is Christmas week, they know how to do it, they just choose to not do their jobs.

I was averaging about 2100 a week. Now I am closer to 2500 most weeks (#### happens though). It's the short time of the year, and this trip home I still had 2300 miles. By the way the secret to ECU's success is he brown noses lmao.

Not to bash you or come off sarcastic, but your assuming they have multiple loads for over 1200 drivers a day to "pick & choose" from,,sadly those days are well behind us,next time your in Joplin(the Vegas of the Mo) go sit with a planner(just ask your FM) they will explain it you can see whats actually going on
