BigBlue. Have you ever BEEN a team driver?? I'd love to know why you think that we get special treatment? Yesterday I was told to relay my load at a different location than the delivery because they were short a team in the area, for the next morning. The new relay cost us 300 miles and we had to sit for 12 hrs to wait for it, which ended up being 5 hrs late...so we sat for 17!! We had plenty of time to make the original delivery AND DH back to the new load. Alas, they did not want to pay us the DH when they could get a solo to run it. Now please, let me know when they were kissing my arse cause I missed it. I have been a solo and teaming is much much harder, you earn that extra mulah!

Well driver you are COMPLETELY CORRECT as to the dispostion of CWTL,,,This WAS a "Good" company for a while, now we all are hearing this time and time again,,,Its all about "saving" operating costs and not about you the driver making money,i am on avg sitting 5-6 days(unpaid) a month now,,I absolutly loath going to Laredo(TX in General) and being deemed OTR seems to be the new term of company p-on,,,
I applaud you as you give yet another version of how we all here at CWTL are being used,,,I hope all that read these posts see that they are not "RANTS" but pure depictions of how it really is
i myself last friday was in Houston, got the following, take a load over to San Antonio and then preplanned on a load that p/u on Sunday to deliver in Pharr same day(broker wasnt open till monday btw) so 3 days for a total of 500 miles,,,for the record i was out 32 days, sat 5,,made a total of 9800 miles,,no detention,no layover NOTHING

STOP!,,you are way to Nieve to this company and trucking in general, your opinion is baseless as you are part of a team and thus are part of the overall general problem.
Put yourself in our position and I bet your opinion would be the same as a OTR solo, you teams are coddled to no end,

I know I'm a little late here but I have been with the company for 3 weeks now, and have seen a major difference between this and my last company. The fact is that i feel so far that this company actually cares about there drivers more than most, and are willing to make sure that we are taken care of as much as we can be.

After going through the posts again all I can say is that if you don't like it get out. I was with covenant before and had to team at first, and got to hate it. I didn't get paid enough for my miles and didn't get many miles to begin with.

Maybe I am living under my means but if i am bringing home 650+ a week I am happy, I can live on it. I love my 800+ paychecks ive had so far and maybe thats because i'm new. From what I have been reading this company always starts out well and tapers off. When it comes to it i know this isnt the best company, but it is definitely a step up. And as someone stated earlier that the reason many people are comming into this field is that it does pay and its something many people can do. I am from Vegas and jobs there suck. This is not the job i want to do for the rest of my life and those of you that do my hat is off to you. this is a temporary thing untill i can get tings back on the ground for me.

This company has gone far beyond what covenant ever would, and i am taking the good days with the bad I just had a 1300 mile run from vegas to Laredo, and was told i might be here for a day or two. Does it suck yes, but i know that i can live on that. i know that i will be out of here and on the road. would i like to be home every night, of course, but i am doing what i have to for my family. as for the team drivers yes they are given priority over alot of freight, and so they should they are stuck two to a truck and can cover more ground in less time. I have nothing against them. If you want the "special" treatment then team up and get the treatment and more pay. This is supposed to be helpful to many of the new drivers, like me, so far all i have seen is a few people with good points and more people with bigger egos. Im happy for those of you that have a great company that pays you for every thing, and im sorry for those of you that have had issues with Conway. I have spent time talking to alot of drivers and many of them have said that they do enjoy working for this company. and alot of your experiance with a company comes from many things.

Expample: my dispatcher keeps me running, i highlited to be home and was home on the ninth day, but i was comming from penn. i got my time home and my dispatcher called me to keep me up to date. my rig is a KW t660 with 176000 miles on it and an apu. I have to maintain a certain MPG and havent had an issue yet with it. My truck was hit by another in a truck stop and took off my mirror i was fixed and out of the shop by noon the following day, showed up at 6am. No company is perfect, but this one is so far above many of the rest.

A few things,1st welcome aboard,2nd yes it will wear off(the good vibes from Joplin),you live in Vegas and unfortunatly this is a notoriously bad place for freight for CWTL,and since this year the Corp has mandated a less than 100 mile DH to load well good luck, and lastly your FLeet MGR has literally nothing to do with your miles, they have no pull what so ever,if they say are getting you miles they are lying to you,its all the planners and they only see your truck and your clock and thats it,
If it took 9 days to get you home well that should be a red flag(you can cross the USA in the same amount of time,,,TWICE,again its about where you live,(Ca,Wa,Or,Mont,ND,SD,Me,Vt,NH) are excluded from the 7 day highlight,,,Live and learn,,10 years here herd it all(and if your wondering why i am still here,,all the TL's are all the same so until i find a a daycab job it makes no sense to jump

Wow, obviously you found the comma button, huh? Anyway, I'm guessing I could pic YOU out of a crowd!! That old guy that has been in his truck for over a decade, has been wearing the same clothes for the last five years, shaves maybe once a week, showers about as often and looks like he needed a haircut about 6 months ago ? Driver like you, sir, are why I NEVER spend time in the terminal. You have so much resentment built up, you spend most of your time in the drivers room with all of the other drivers like you complaining about how terrible you are treated. My low miles, my truck sucks, I can't get layover. Cry cry cry. You poison the minds of all the drivers that actually LIKE the company! It's sad, really. I am part of the problem simply because I am a team? Ugh, move on to a new company! If you are SO poorly treated, take your negativity and complaints to someone, we don't need it!! Maybe then, those of us that get sick of hearing the SAME story and whining over and over could come inside to enjoy the facilities as well. Good day sir.

1.Lets set the FACTS straight,YOU in another post said you were moving onto another company"within the next 6 months"
2.Baseless attacks on my looks are just that BASELESS,you have no creditable argument so your only refuge is to insinuate a falsehood based on no fact.My hygiene is 2nd to no one
3.Ive seen COUNTLESS people like you come and go for the past 10 years
4.Ive been here when this WAS a GREAT company, and its people like you that ruined it(why do you need 2 friggin dogs?)
5.I "enlighten" minds, separate FACT from Fiction,we used to get fired for the miles we pull now.

Now lets talk about you,see I know who you are,yes I do,Ive talked to you in a terminal before,,,your a 5 foot, overweight, middle aged woman, who always wears sandals(against the company directive btw),you actually think the stares you get in a terminal are of men longing to be with you,,LOL and you smell of your dogs when you walk by.

Conliedtoway, LMAO!! Five feet tall?? Closer to six, actually. Overweight? Yea, probably that's the term by now. Depressing, I have gained 60 lbs since I started driving two years ago!! Yuck. Middle aged??? Darlin, I cannot even buy tobacco products or get into an R movie without an ID (this comment alone assured you you have NO idea who I am). I do believe that you looked at every single post I made in her, which I do find to be creepy, and saw that I still wear sandals. The part you got wrong? I never wear them at a terminal genius. I mean, it is against company policy and all. I do have two dogs, I highly doubt I smell like them but hey, if I do? That's alright, it keeps people like you at bay. As far as men longing for me... LOL, not sure about that one? Not even real sure what to say. The boys out here will do a double take at anyone with anatomy that doesnt match theirs....so? Lastly, I am planning to go on to a company that does not run freight. They specialize in something else...I would stay with Conway if they had the same kind of opportunity, alas...they don't. Nothing I say will make you a smarter, less negative or pessimistic person. So, the next time you "see" me at a terminal, be sure to say HI. Haha.

This is rubbish. Less than a 100 mile DH? Are you kidding me? We got a DH of 950 miles last month!! I don't know where you are getting your info, but you have been very miss-informed. Also, your fleet manager has quite a bit to do with the amount of miles you will get! A lot of it will depend on where you are, but if you are having trouble with low miles, have a talk with them. We have done this and we ran like crazy!! It also helps if your fleet manager has a good relationship with the planners so they can work together. It seems funny that someone who has been with the truckload division of Conway for 10 years wouldn't know that they could switch to the freight division after two years without losing benefits or service awards?? Your day cab is waiting at Conway Freight, if that's all you are holding out on with this terrible company.:biggrin_2553:
