Florida is a strange place in American Trucking.
Food goes there. Nothing much comes out except Drywall, Gypsum, Oranges and Scrap Metal. Florida is needy. They take everything but ships nothing.
And you wonder why people who wish to stay in florida find it hard to get into Class A trucking.
Chinatown is like so the very last person to jerk anyone around. In fact I know him well enough to let him tease me now and then. And MAN can he tease me good. But jerking people around? Oh no way. -
The vast majority of OTR jobs do not require driver physically unload freight. They use what is called "live load/unload" That means you back your trailer into a warehouse dock door and someone on a forklift loads/unloads your trailer. I've never loaded or unloaded my trailer in 25 years.
