Considering CDL, what’s the best path for a job with no exp?

The OP, @AceC lives in an RV so he can park anywhere and take home time where ever his RV is parked.
Here in Las Vegas, some people park the RV in storage lots with security and 24 hour access.
Park in a truck stop, then take UBER to the RV.

thank you for that information. With the current job market for truckers these days I think my best bet for employment is to sign up for company sponsored CDL training. I would rather have a job following completion of their CDL training than to pay the up front of cost of CDL training and job hunt afterwards. The problem is with the current market, will these companies respond to my interest to sign up with them? I submitted a few forms online to several companies and waiting to hear back. I’m thinking maybe they aren’t even going to respond back because they aren’t hiring?

I think my selling point is that I’d be willing to be out on the road all the time even if I have to wait for loads.

You're overthinking it. Don't listen to the "Negative-Nancy's" on here. There's plenty of trucking jobs for new drivers. Apply for company sponsored training or companies that hire new grads from private cdl schools. Either way, you'll find a job.

Living in the Southwest corner of the USA, San Diego, does present some obstacles, but nothing that can't be overcome.

CR England gets some bad press, but the training is thorough and you can run solo after the training.
Also, has some good accounts if you want something dedicated, such as delivering to Walmart's and Sam's Club. Has a school in Colton, CA and might even go to Salt Lake City, UT.
I see their trucks every day here in Las Vegas and the trucks look clean, new, well maintained.

    I talked recently to a co-worker who went thru C R England's CDL school.

    I'll be kind.

    Basically....it's a zoo.

    Again -- go true professional-grade.

Pick/find a REALLY GOOD CDL school -- with a good rep...from which good carriers routinely recruit.

    Don't just go to a CDL mill....simply becuz it's "free" (it's not).
