You could just tell T-Mobile that you're moving to an area where they don't offer service. Most companies will let you out of the contract if that's the case. You might also be able to keep your current number and transfer it over.
I expect I can keep my number. I've carried this same cell number for over 15 years from one carrier to the next. Good point on getting out of my contract. I'll sure try it!
That aint true. My brother has T-Mobile and he has coverage everywhere except in a couple spots!! Matter of fact in one of our daily 2 hour BS sessions we have, I'll lose signal 2 or 3 times while he wont; and I'm with Verizion!! I think they also use other peoples towers which his signal is better now compared to 2 years ago. Granted every cell carrier has dead zones, even Verizion and Sprint
I'd challenge that. We're out in BFE a lot. T-Mobile and Sprint are pretty useless at quite a few of our customer locations. You have to have coverage to make your check calls.
Every carrier has dead spots. I know where Prime runs as I did the Trans Am and National Carriers thing, unfortunately , and we never had a HUGE problem until one of us got in the north west and very few spots in BFE Texas Here's something Ive always wondered, why do companies encourage 'check calls' but always wanted you to use the QC or satelliate for all other communications
I just switched from T-mobile to AT&T. But the problem with T-mobile isn't the service. Its the data roaming limit they imposed on the 5th of April. I used my limit in the first 2 days of the month. Then I couldn't even get on the internet to find the number to AT&T! Overall, in my opinion, T-mobile is better than AT&T in terms of data service. The problem is, their network is much smaller which forces them to partner with other local carriers, which means you do a lot of roaming. Which is great, or it was, before they imposed the new limit. I do a lot of live streaming. Local radio stations, baseball games, etc.., so T-mobile absolutely will no longer work with that. The coverage with AT&T is slightly worse, but I have coverage most of the time, and its with their towers, so there is no roaming. Close call thus far in terms of just phone service. Maybe a slight edge to AT&T, but I've only had it for a month so we'll see...
Here is why they do check calls... Prime info from the shipper to the driver thru the QC says reefer temp setting should be -10. Driver picks up load of hot dogs with BOL temp setting of 35 degrees. Moron driver freezes load, where a check call would rectify the situation between the customers, Prime, and the driver. I pick up an organic load of produce last week... Everything matches Prime's info except the PO# and expected pallet count. Turns out 2 loads going to same delivery, both Prime trucks, ive got the other guys bills... Missing pallet is an order that the shipper had no product to fill. Result I leave with copies of my actual bills and other driver picks up his actual bills at a truckstop of his choosing with a fax number he provided. We have morons, before check calls, who clearly have multiple ordered #POs and piece counts on their QC, and shipper mixup leaves product on the dock. Are check call guys are trained to spot those things and hold the driver at the shipper until all parties agree that the product should be on the truck, or there is no product to fill a PO or short the order for lack of product. Morons who travel to the correctly named city but wrong state was another problem. You know how many Springfields there are? Did you know we have a customer in Shelby Michigan and there are two Shelbys on opposite sides of the state? If you picked the Detroit suburb Shelby over the Shelby in the middle of nowhere on the west coast of MI you'd be wrong.
U2 I got a better one my trainer (after I got off his truck) picked up a load out of MI QC had right address and city but wrong state. Denver was city CO was state on QC but BOL said Denver PA (might be wrong on that but it was east) My buddy never reads the BOLS does live load calls off the QC (big mistake) got to Denver CO called the 90 said "I can't find you" they said wrong state and refused load. claim was 45K. Like I said big mistake but since sales put the wrong info in QC and the live load person agreed the guy only ate 33% of the issue. still a BIG mistake. READ THE BOL and have a good phone. I have ad two instnaces where my phone was out of service I sent a QC messsage saying all the live load call questions with answers off the BOL. One was fine the other said your 90 is wrong. I replied my BOL says otherwise. SO they said sit til we can correct. the Phone is not the issue. We must communicate propper info
all that said I am switching to verizon as they seem to have the best coverage. i studied it for 9 months and in that time where we run verison has best coverage but not the best prices
I have virgin mobile myself i was going to try it over the road, but since you said you hardly get a signal, i will switch back to verizon for their basic service (cheapest) only if i can get hired on by prime, if not i will stick with virgin.
