my promised pictures of mess . So dpfs were changed 1 year ago. Reliabilt remand dpfs were installed. One of them has been cracked and all soot was pushed to scr area. The truck throws low nox codes now and derates to 55mph. ####en big bill ! I guess this truck needs 1-box and 1dpf (or 2) ..This happened at 700k miles. it's 2013 Cascadia with DD15.

Take a look on this conversation. Dealership technicians and one of Detroit's boses are talking about an issue. Who are Detroit Diesel engineers only god knows. Brainless idiots for sure ! Oil suction manifold is an important part in the engine. These idiots decided to make it from plastic. And that's not enough they have used glue to attach a cup on it. That cup has a spring under it....

If it’s a fleet truck the oil has only been changed in it 60k to 100 k miles. I would definitely have someone pop the valve cover off look at the cam and rollers for wear. You also want pull off the air to air and check the turbo. If you do nothing else do those things. Summit buys trucks in bulk from fleets so you know they didn’t check anything. Maybe drove it to their detail shop. Oil sample won’t tell you anything. Every smart seller changes the oil in it before the put it on the lot. Don’t waste ur money

I bought a pair of 2014 Cascadias last year at about 450k each. No major problems so far after a 100k each. Just a couple of def issues that were quickly fixed.
