I would ask to talk to the weekend supervisor, the policy is if no freight on the 8th day its paid deadhead home.
If weekend supervisor can not help, then ask that he call director of ops, VP of Ops, or the Perz. Use the chain of command.
If your a legit 8 day hilite, the day you hilite is zero, then your in the right to do this.
All drivers typically want are consistency in miles, and time off when it's requested.

My 1300 mile d&h turned into a 550 mile monday afternoon appointment, so I guess I'll be sitting in Corinth, MS for the next 57 hours... Thinking about renting a car tomorrow & exploring.

Does anyone have a bicycle on/in their truck? There doesn't seem to be enough room on my catwalk & my cab is not really big enough unless I can get joplin to remove the passenger seat. Would be perfect if I could find a front bumper bike rack -- besides, that would give crst drivers something else to hit besides my mirror...

Yep I highlighted on 4/19 ....talked to three different people ....even tried to go to JAX drop yard and got NO WHERE....they claim for a paid dead head I have to be headed to my home domicile ....which is that not what a highlight is to accomplish ?

Anyways I gave up the fight ...took a bus down to Doravile Marta train to MEGABUS at civic center stop to Orlando FL....$2.50 + $2.50 + $26.00 bus ticket...8.75 hour bus ride . Atleast there is charging outlets & WIFI on the ride ... Same cost on return prob Tuesday AM

Paul you have to fight this one. I had the same issue and believe you me it only happened once. First of all after the first 24 hrs and no load ebery day after that is 60.00. Don't let them say oh we have you dispatched for a load sat that p/u on Tues or something like that. At the time my FM wasnt there so after getting no where I asked for a dispatch to Joplin to see op's VP Needless to say the following Monday morning got $180.00 for sitting for 4 days. And you need to stress Conway expects drivers to p/u and del. On time therefore get the driver home on time. In my 15 months there this only happened once. So when you get back to your truck make sure you get with ur FM and go up the chain to ensure this never happens again.
