Corona virus cases will skyrocket in a week.

That's generally what I do. I'm not really knowledgeable to "play" it. But some moves are obvious.

When NVIDIA crashed back last year due to cryptocurrency, I bought in. Of course the stock bounced back and saw some good profit. If I already had a position I would have just bought more.

 

They're cancelling MATS do to Corona.

This is another yawn event for me since unless it happens to be where I'm either picking up or delivering, on a 34, and I get in for free, I don't attend.

I'd much rather take someone's freight that is attending.

 

So is it a good time to invest into the airline industry?

It's not my fault. On our current 7000 mile tour we were nowhere near Louisville.

Although I do want to get near there, more toward Puddacha to see some kin.

A few days ago Buffet just upped his position with Delta by a million shares.

Delta, United, and Southwest have the financials to weather an extended downturn.

Those stocks will eventually recover, just a question of when. It might be soon, it might take a while. If you buy you might see some short-term loss. Just hold and be patient.

That's just my novice opinion. I'm no expert here. So far I've done well with equities.

 

My step dad works for General Electric, the leading Biomed producer in this country. He's pretty high up on the "food chain" so he gets some good intel from a lot of the meetings he goes to.

In a nutshell he told me it's pretty bad. If it breaks out here like it is in Italy we can be in for a world of hurt. Supply chains are breaking down, we make serums for vaccinations and we are dependent on 4 different regions to make serums/vaccinations/etc. If one region breaks down, we have a shortage. Which we already do now.

We don't know if we are going to get hit like Italy. We have a lot of technology and ability to communicate to control/contain the spread. So hopefully *fingers crossed* this doesn't break out.

Healthy middle aged people don't really have much to worry about. The fatality is under 1%. It's the older folks that need to lay low. So us middle aged guys need to step up, pick up the slack and keep things running until this blows over.

Don't hide in your basement surrounded by hand sanitizers and Lysol spray. Work harder. Hopefully this doesn't amount to much. But if it does, it's our time to shine and show we are worth inheriting the country our elders build and maintained for us.

WHO stated coronavirus mostly kills older people. Would be no more whining about manual transmission, CB radio and paper logs.
