We'll be dead before receiving any money.

Just like that class action against Landstar about 5 years ago.

However, thankfully, the attorneys will receive their wages !!!!!

Good one! I left myself open for that.

I was wondering what method was used to short miles.

I was on a furniture account with M.S. Carriers. When Swift took over they told me that my stops were going from $40 each to $20 each. Also we got unload pay on the final stop. It was $60 and Swift was going to cut the final down to $0. Needless to say a lot of drivers quit. Also my truck ran 73 with M.S.C. and Swift kept telling me to take it to the shop and get it cut back to 62. I refused to take it in for several months. I wouldn't even take it in for an oil change because I knew they were going to cut it back. Finally I had to get it done. The last straw for me was when they sent me a letter saying my mileage pay was going from .39 a mile down to .28 That's when i told them to shove it.

Drivers have been waiting for 30+ years for things to "Get Better" !!!!!

And it is Still going downhill !!!

These new folks just coming on board, don't expect a whole lot of change. At least not for the better.

For all you know, you could be listed as part of the class action. Although I believe you would have received some paper in the mail, but I'd check if I was you.

Hubby wasn't part of the original class action suing CRE for conflicts in the lease contract, but we received a letter stating if we didn't want to participate we'd have to send them a letter stating such.

That's what the companies are counting on, and why they want rid of the "old guys".

almost all companys out there pay house hold movers guide miles which is around 10 percent or zip code to zip code mileage, been that way forever, but with EOBR coming on line the companys will really see how much time is wasted to get thru traffic and the docks, freight rates will finally go up cause you can't fudge the logs any more, its now a win win
