Don't be silly. Grandad won't own a convertable, he says they're dangerous. Plus I always check him and make sure he's fully dressed. A girl has to protect her property.......ermmm I meant to say a girl has to protect her beloved. yeah that's what I meant.

Craziest or coolest thing? I was once passed by a long line of stunning Corvettes on their way to the museum in KY. Must have been several miles of nothing but 'Vettes in the hammer lane. It was quite awesome seeing the different models and colors, each one in excellent condition.

When I was a sitework driver (fond memories), we had a subsidiary company which did the asphalt work, and I was tasked to them that day. One of the ongoing projects was the section of I540.. the road in its entirety was open from US1 to I40, and the section spanning from US1 to US64 was under construction. Half was the responsibility of Barnhill, and the other half was being done by V&G. Rea Contracing, which had nearby asphalt plants on Old Garner Road and Gresham Lake road (pretty much covering both ends of this project) got tasked to do the asphalt for this project. I was working with Cecil's crew that day, and, as we get on site, we find ourselves a dead body - he'd been murdered the night before.

Don't even get me started on some of the things I saw in NOLA after Katrina.

Saw the aftermath of a murder one sunday morning on Rt.220 near Rockingham.Someone pulled alongside a Mack pulling a Leggs trailer and blasted away.Must of been a hundred cop cars there.Sad.Signs posted for years offering a reward, never heard if it ever got solved.
One rainy night coming out of Massachusetts I had a mountain lion run across the road.I even questioned myself about drugs when I saw it.
Had a full size Ford station wagon with six naked women ride alongside me for miles east of Dallas.Pre-cell and digital camera there would be pictures.

going thru the rocks on the way to vancouver--one rainy night i was 1/2 asleep just in lala land and a--welll i am going to call it a huge ### billy goat jumped off the slope to the side of the road---now i am not sure it was a white hairy mountain goat--but if i said it was a grey whitish sasquatch people would think i was really crazy
regardless it scared the crap out of me--but it sure woke me up and gave me that extra boost to finish the trip
