I also read on one of these threads that most Crete trucks have APU's?? Any truth to that?

Got back Dec 5th into florida all i had is 1 pallet with maybe 12 cases on it,it was a 10 am del i got there at 9 thinkin how long could this take? i left at 1pm with a $5 lumper fee. I was really planing on getting home early and now im fixed to be tied! call internationl to get the parts put on my truck on my way back to the yard..they said they sent them back due to stock at end of year. (now someone may die!) they needed me to bring the truck back and see what they needed to reorder it (what they dont keep a file?) dropped truck off and the yard i planed on being home by now screw them parts! put in for a A service and drove my 5 hour trip home...4 days later i get a msg on the phone that i was due back today and they had a load for me..pffft yeah 6 weeks = 6days.
i got back on day 6 (8pm) to get the truck setup up and get ready to roll in the am..no A service..now im pissed, cleaned it out and took another 5 hour trip back home.
I miss the road but i dont miss the 300 mile loads all the BS and they know your hours you have left better then you do. All the crete/shaffer/hunt drivers i met out there are pretty nice..a few whacko's i met commin out of orientation at different terminals. over all i enjoyed working there, if it wasnt for the 5 hour trip back and forth and the drama i may have stayed. Take care ya'll, I'll still be here reading all your posts!

Thanks for the kind words, Catfish, but I don't consider myself a pro. Mostly I just muddle through somehow. I've just learned that my compensation is less-than-adequate if I'm stationary and it's up to me to fix that. Hunger will do that to you, ya know. :)

How did you get +11 points? I've got -19 after a little over 2 years.

Ok I am assuming you get points for accidents and stuff and a positive number is bad and a negitive number is good. So how do you get a negitive number?

You get negative safety points several ways. Having a clean log audit, Dot inspection, bringing trailers in for inspection, and other ways I forget at the moment. You get positive safety points by having accidents, log violations, bad dot inspections, etc. I think points stay on you for a year and then drop off. You can also reduce points by attending safety classes and such.
