Got in another solid 537 mile day. Could have drove another 1.5 hours but decided to go ahead and shut her down for today. Had to repair another mud flap that got torn off by a yard jockey I suppose at Church and Dwight. Got the load off at C & D and got reloaded out of there with a short trip to Mt. Pleasant, IA with an open delivery for tomorrow. Only have another 250 miles or so to get there so hopefully will be able to pick up something else out of that area tomorrow to keep rolling. Only have 30 hours left for the next 4 days so going to have to run them out hard and reset or space them out and have an easy 4 days of it, guess mostly will depend on what I get out of Mt. Pleasant area tomorrow.

Not too shabby considering I only ran 6 days and one of those days was only 45 miles:)

Sitting at the General Mills plant in Cedar Falls along with at least 5 other Crete trucks. I thought they would be open tonight but no luck. Only got 20 or so hours left for the next 2-3 days. Probably going to go for a couple of hard days run and a reset if possible. Spent the last two days zig zagging across the state and US highways through Iowa, pretty nice running with good weather and lots of corn field scenery.

Picked up a real light load at Maytag this morning just down the road from the GM plant. Heading to Huntersville, NC so I asked to t-call it at Greensboro since I will be left with only 2-3 hours for the next day if I deliver it on Thursday. Got the ok to tcall and go home to do my reset at the house and roll back out on Friday morning. Sure would be nice if it always worked out that well. Really just 7 days and one hour of another for a nice tidy sum of around 3500 miles.

Had a nice reset day at the house. Grilled up some catfish and drank a few beverages. Picked up a load at the P & G in Brown's Summit yesterday with an unload just north of Philly this morning. Sitting in the dock but no activity for about 1 hour. I can already foresee a NJ pickup in my future:)

Sorry for the Jersey thing... There are many, many other places I would rather be with a truck...

Well didn't get sent to Jersey but just as bad so far. Had to pick up a container at the Philly port and haul her to Martinsburg, WV. Unfortunately a live unload and they ain't doing those yet which is putting my next run on hold. Oh well I suppose it will all shake out in the end but the next trip picks up in BFE Ohio and heads back to the Philly port. Just hoping I ain't going to get stuck on a container toting cycle.

Did meet a couple of Cretan's that were also picking up at the port as well as another Crete driver working I suppose at preparing the containers at the port. They were all pretty cool cats. Nice to bs with some of the fellas and so far everyone I have met at shippers/receivers has been pretty cool.

Made my way through some Ohio back roads today to pick up another container heading back to Philly for tomorrow. Dead headed me 360 miles to pick it up. Two other Crete drivers where there as well but unfortunately for them their trailers weren't ready and noone coming to work until Monday. Made it back to Brookville, PA. Could have probably rolled down to Duncannon but I was pretty tired and decided to call it an early night.

Guess I should have slept in. Got the container dropped at the Penn port and was told I needed to get an empty so I said how about just pick up one down the street where I had dropped the other one a couple of days ago. Sure enough there are plenty of empties and I send in message and get a load that doesn't pick up until noon tomorrow at Kimberly Clark where the empties are. So I am sitting along the street outside the plant with probably 15 other Crete drivers awaiting for the sunrise. Did get a chance to order a stroboli for the first time today while passing the time. I did not know what it was but I had heard they were good. Basically just a stuffed pizza. Really, really tasty.

    Miles for week 9

Sept 12-13 Cedar Falls, IA -- North Liberty, IA -- Greensboro, NC -- ca. 935 mi
    Sept 14 (home reset)
Sept 15-16 Durham, NC -- Brown's Summit, NC -- Fairless Hills, PA -- 509 miles
Sept 16 Fairless Hills, PA -- Eddystone, PA -- Martinsburg, WV ---- 228 miles
    Sept 16-Sept 18 Martinsburg, WV -- Willard, OH -- Eddystone, PA --- 828

2500 miles, nothing to write home about I suppose but did get 1.5 days at the house. Hope for something better this week.

Just about got every nook and cranny memorized on US322 now:) Been running back and forth on it between Ohio and eastern PA all week it seems. Dropped the KMart load off this afternoon and headed on into the TA in Youngstown. Picking up here tomorrow and heading to Cartersville, GA. Finally a load that last for more than a day.
