Headed back out on Wednesday with a good run into Kentucky. Delivered in Owensboro and got another long deadhead into Indiana which I delivered early this morning in Bentonville, AR. Kind of screwed now as not much freight apparently and I am sitting in Fort Smith, AR having to wait until 1600 to get loaded with a run that delivers early on Monday morning in Grand Rapids, MI. Going to try and get it relayed as I won't have the time to make the delivery barring switching over to the grave yard cycle after not getting much sleep to work with today. Have to think it over.

Been running hard. Made that Grand Rapids load and picked up down the street for a load heading to western Iowa. Lobbied for a load heading west and got a 196 miler into Nebraska
After that a nice load into Waco, TX then my first load in 6 months west of Nebraska. Picked up a load of tires in Terrell, TX delivering to Colorado Springs for Monday morning. Was able to get dispatch to let me t-call here in Denver where I sit awaiting my fate. Real nice weather out here. I seem to be everywhere the bad weather isn't this winter which is fine by me

same here just left michigan and neb when it was nice and sunny and 50's out. So far this winter i have lucked out and been in and out of the area while there was no snow. Lets hope it stays that way for us

A little catching up to do as I haven't spent as much time updating things here since my son came aboard as I spend the after driving hours doing stuff with him. For the first 26 weeks at Crete I have 60316 miles with more than the usual time off as I resigned for over a week when I thought I was getting a teaching job. So if things continue as they have been I should be able to make the pay raise miles. All in all I don't have many complaints with my short time here. Probably like most places after hours and weekend dispatch could use a few more hands to make things easier on us all but other than that things have gone along fairly reasonably. Only one minor break down with the truck that luckily happened while at a terminal (starter went out). My terminal managers in Greensboro have been very helpful in working with me on any problems that I have had so no issues on that end.

Dropped the load off in Edmond and got to bobtail over to OK city to pick up a trailer at Hobby Lobby bound for Gulfport, MS. Another sweet, good weather trip. Stopped off for some red beans and rice and fried pork chops in Opelousas today and finished off the trip in good fashion. Getting unloaded at 0700 in the morning and wouldn't doubt if I get sent to Mobile to the KClark plant after that.

I enjoy following your adventure. Keep the updates coming!

Well all good things must come to an end I suppose. Dropped off my load in Lawton, OK and got a nice weekend load with the exception that it delivers in Syracuse so looks like I am in for my first real winter driving of the new year. Sitting in Rolla, MO tonight and hoping to reach the terminal in Columbus tomorrow afternoon. Have a safe and good weekend all.

Dan Allison and Laura Boone.
Made it to Columbus as planned with a few minutes to spare. Lots of trucks and cars littering I-70 in Illinois, some looked pretty bad. Just slowed it down a bit and made my way through fine. Glad I started a little late to give the road crews time to clean things up a bit.

Pretty sweet week if I can manage to make it to the customer tomorrow afternoon, perhaps will pull up a little short and finish up early Monday, all depends on the roads as I have just enough time tomorrow to get there if everything is perfect.1catfish Thanks this. -
Made it to the customer with a couple of minutes to spare. All in all not too bad of a trip with the exception of the I-70 mess a couple of days ago that was mainly cleared up by the time I went through. Lots of snow on the sides of the road but that is all. Kind of in the backwoods here in Baldwinsville but a nice drive in. Have to give two thumbs up to the Petro at Waterloo, real nice showers. Sitting at 8500 miles with 5 days to work before getting home for the remainder of the month. Hope I can get in a solid 5 days.
