Yeah I will have to second the empty call times. I have only delivered 4 loads but I had a load plan within 10 minutes after each empty, can't argue with that.

Fortunately nope. From what I have heard they are pretty anal about logs here so I am sticking pretty close to what I am actually doing. Still able to squeeze out the extra 5-6 minutes a few times a day but that is about all.

Made it to my stop here in Memphis. Got an early morning unload and then will have 5.5 hours to work with so looks like it is going to be an easy day tomorrow. Wouldn't doubt that I get hooked up with another one of those Kelloggs's loads heading to Minooka which would be fine by me.

You know honestly I prefer these elogs. They do the math so there is no oops on that by me. Which I've done before and had to reset because I ran myself out without knowing. Lol plus when I say hey I have x number of hrs there is no them showing more.
Is Crete trying to go elogs 100%? I know I'm gonna have to re learn my paper logs if I ever go elsewhere.
Have you heard any scuttlebutt about a Crete or Shafer truck catching fire in harborcreek Pa at the TA? Saw the skeleton of truck and trlr just toasted. Looked like the Crete logo on the trlr but only the wide line of it. Hope no one was in it. It was bad.

Haven't heard anything about the fire. The guy in orientation said that over the next couple of years Crete was supposedly going to be all elogs.

Well ####. Got myself on the graveyard shift now as I picked up a relay from a driver in Memphis going to Cincinnati. I only had 4.5 hours left so I made it to the Kentucky border and now have to roll out at 1215 in the morning to make the delivery on time at 0515. At least it is all interstate. Going to be tough getting back to sleep now.

Baaaah. Made it to my drop in Cincinnati today on time (0530). Dropped the trailer but no empties so I had to roll a couple of miles over to General Mills to pick one up. When I got there one of my drive tires had broken away from the rim. Called breakdown and got sent another couple of miles to a tire shop where it took over 4 hours to get a new tire (had to wait on hold for payment confirmation for 40 minutes). The tire that went flat had been patched on a sidewall and the patch had come loose, it was laying in the tire:( Don't know who had authorized a sidewall patch in the past but that is kind of ###### up. Was only left with 2.5 hours or so and was given a beautiful load of paper going into Chicago that delivers at 0400. No way I will make that as I can't start until 0015 and I have to get fuel and I am still in Eaton, OH. Waiting to see what they want to do.

Yep I just got on the night shift due to my 70 expiring at an odd time and an early morning delivery. Got as far as South Bend, but have to get to eastern OH at 0730. Will havet to depart about 0100 to make it in time with a buffer. At least I get 10 back at midnight. Was down to 1 left and I don't like to stay at the turnpike stops when I can get to a t/s for transflo and a shower. That was a great first week.
Wow, New Century just backed in next to me. Must be new driver. I think he left high range on in reverse. Not very smooth, but he made it in without hitting me. That was too close. Maybe I should be at the Turnpike oasis:yes2557:

What kind of truck do you have? Do they govern their trucks and turn down the horsepower like Roehl does to their trucks? LOL

Thankfully getting back on the daylight plan. Unloaded in Chitown this morning and then picked up at General Mills in West Chicago. Had an option of going to Alachua, FL (near Gainseville (1057 miles, delivery Saturday) or going to Roanoke (suburb of FW, Texas, 926 miles delivery Friday). I decided on the Texas load. Perhaps both are D/H, not sure. Going to try and get my days situated around the 8.75 hours range over the next week. Really struggled through the graveyard shift today.

Never a good idea to get mt on Saturday, not unless you know for sure what is next. There is good chance you would get to sit til Monday waiting for a load. I would take the Friday del, even if it is a few less miles. It is hard to get your book so that you get hours everyday. When I train they don't like me to reset, and sometimes it gets really hard to manage hours and still get the job done.
