I have an 01 379 Pete that had a Detroit , but now has a 475 Cat E-model. My problem has to do with the Cruise Control. I will set and start to accelerate , then shuts off. Or you can resume and it does the same thing. Any ideas?

Mine acted up the other day. Couldn't get it to set. Finally noticed trailer brake lights on all the time. Had short in ABS. Took the fuse out and ran fine until I got back and had them repair it. Good luck.

Touchy clutch switch or brake switch will kill the cruise.

Lift up on the clutch pedal and see what that does. Sometimes the pedal will have to much freeplay and running down the road will move the pedal enough to kick off the cruise.

this was my problem someone else said the same thing, cruise was working fine then i stopped for fuel and it wasnt working when I took off, the next day someone told me lift the clutch pedal with my foot while going down the road, that solved the problem since then a few times.

If it is affecting the jake as well it is either going to be the clutch switch or a air pressure switch... (a little E.T head shaped thing with 2 prongs on it.) when you replace the air pressure switch make sure you get the right one.. it will either be open or closed......

Under the can. If I hold up on the set it accelerates but won't stay engaged...
