Any ideas on my clackity clack under the rear head?
Is losing a lobe common on these n-14s.
Or wristpins ?

Have had problems with bolts on top in cases similar to this. Using studs as described worked better for me.
Let us know how that works out please. -
Proper length bolts and lots of locktite I feel would go a long ways on my truck.

Where did you buy that conversion bracket are there to pieces or just one, I have a Cummins N14 with the York style compressor and is driving me crazy y already buy a Sanden compressor but I haven’t being lucky finding an original bracket for the Sanden.

I converted my York style ttc to a Sanden, On my Detroit. I simply used 2 pc of 1.5”x1.5” steel tubing. Drilling holes to mount it to old bracket, and 4 holes for Sanden compressor. It worked good. Bolt pattern is closer on Sanden, and clutch pulls is smaller. The 1.5 tubing gives just enough room for bolts, and enough height, to use original length belt. I may have gone 2” shorter on the belt. Not sure, Dealer had confusing info on belt part # , they superseded it with a 2” longer belt. I ran it for a while. But also have problems with Detroit breaking bracket bolts. Finding proper fit for lines, clutch wiring, clutch pulley is the real challenge. The conversion bracket kit is useless for pad mount. Ear mount only. I’ve got a kit, never used it.
