If the fog is so bad I have to slow to a point I become a hazard, well I might just park and shut er down. Done it many times. There is no load worth my life or another persons.

I agree with Moose. If you can not see it's time to park the truck. The bad thing about warning flashers is that there's always that one driver that will follow those lights right into the back of your trailer. It's like parking on the side of the road with the flashers going, it will not be long before someone runs right into the parked truck. Plus the are some states that the LEO's seem to think that the hazard lights are only for when you breakdown. I've got mixed feelings about that. I don't even turn them on when I'm pulling a grade and slow way down.

I drove a gasoline tanker and if it got to where visibility was a problem I went home. I still got paid but even if I didn't I'd still not drive. It's crazy to put making money above all. There's no load that's worth risking my life just to get the load to where it's going. You don't get reckless hauling gasoline and if you do you won't be doing that very long.
