Don't tell her about the ticket, it's not a moving violation it shouldn't show up on your record. Seat belt ticket? Tail light ticket? Same thing, right? Recruiter sound's absurd...My guess is she's going to be safety manager soon. Look out!
^^ I had one about 7 years back, a S/B in my PV, and got denied for WalMart same or next year; don't recall. Glad I did tho; been tanking local ever since. Just sayin.
Just apply with other places and answer truthfully on all applications. Someone will hire you. I have been speaking to Jim Palmer and a 13-14 year old drug felony so far isn't an issue according to them. We shall see.
I am wondering about this I had a dui over 10 years ago perfect record since will that ddui screw me?
No worries they told me no thanks too ..30 years no accidents at that point , spotless mvr too . They're loss . Move on . Good luck to you !
I just applied was not turned down yet was wondering though how far back do they check I have my passport and just passed hazmat background check
Canada may not let you in if they see the DUI on the computer system. They let Mafiso from Italy and Sicily immigrate to there, but won't let a trucker deliver freight that had a DUI decades ago. Most trucking companies aren't concerned about DUI's that old, they just won't dispatch you to Canada if they know about it.
Been talking with Jim Palmer. Told me they get a ton of applicants. Out of 500. They'll hire 3-5. It's extremely competitive. Said there is a good chance I won't make it after I show up. That's with no problems whatsoever with any background, drug, anything checks.
