LOL we don't have a chance in hell with a court appointed lawyer against Swift...... I don't expect anything at all out of it. If you choose to exclude yourself from the Suit then you have an option to hire your own lawyer and sue at anytime

class action suits dont get much since the lawyers take a huge chunk, there was a class action suit I was part of for a student loan and against the school, they won over $40million but "cost" and lawyer fees were over $30 million and then the payout were to tons and tons of people so I was told I might see $3k off my student loan once the suits are all done and said, they have been in action for 5 years now...

No such thing as a court appointed lawyer in this case. That's for criminal stuff. I am sure this suit was brought several years ago. Just getting closer to a court date. Jerry has some really slick lawyers. IMO we signed the paper and on the KIOSK. The L/O's should have known what they signed. The plaintiff knew the terms entering the agreement.

    Send me my $18!!!

Another thing about not getting practical miles, that pisses me off is that Prime makes you drive 125000, before you get your vacation. Between getting screwed out of miles, and the time out with my baby sitters not counting, I will have to drive around 180000 miles to get my first vacation.

Just because people acknowledged one of employer's business practices in writing doesn't make that practice itself legal. By the same token, the fact that some employers and shippers make drivers wear safety jackets does not change much if a person get injured while wearing that safety jacket. If you get hit, you get hit. If Swift been stealing money, it's been stealing money.

I still have my monthly reviews from the 6 months I was with Swift in 04. I was shorted a minimim of 900 miles a month with my last month being 3000 short . I still get furious when I look at them

I never did keep a record as it would have made me madder than HeXX

But, there is those that are willing to sign off on fuel discounts (fuel being the biggest expense of being a L/O, or O/O) and let Swift lap up the gravy.

Read through our contract and nothing stated they use HHMM. Drove teams and was making really good money for 2 yrs had an awesome DM but suddenly miles dropped sat numerous places 2-3 days waiting on loads sent north all winter usually stuck in at least 2 snowstorms we were losing more than earning so we got out.

Fact is, most companies use HHMG. Not just trucking companies. The shippers pay HHMG miles to Swift.

You are not obligated to follow the fuel route. It often takes you 200-300 miles out of route. Pick up a map, and use it. When I drove, its what we did. Dont depend on a gps to provide the best route. This is trucking 101.
