That's the way it should be.Dispatch isn't the only ppl that get tired of drivers calling them unneedlessly.

I ran like that for two years with Stevens. Only once, at the Columbus Junction, IA IBP plant, was my meat load actually ready to go when I got there. Threw me off, I had planned on taking a nap. Fortunately this was back before the current rules where the 14 hour clock would have complicated things, lol.

    RedForeman and Meltom Thank this.

That night when I got there and the guard told me it was loaded, I asked if I could drop my empty, take a nap, then hook up to the loaded trailet. He gave me a look like that was the most absurd notion ever muttered by a truck driver in his presence.

He didn't need to record. He could have just called the NSA and asked for a copy!

I drive for Werner.. and there is no issuse or arguing.. I just send it over the qualcomm.. too tired to drive safely pulling off to rest ETA to shipper/receivers is ____________ . same with bad weather...
The bad thing is.. some drivers abuse it.... my first trainer with werner was a great example of that.. she would stay up most of her 10, well actuallh our 10 break yapping on the phone.. then run out of steam the next day and qualcomm that she is too tired and needs to pull over and sleep.. or, she would qualcomm that she was stoppi g due to weather even though the roads or conditions were not bad.. she did that twice so sne could hook up with her trucker friend..
