I dont think its about rewarding non productivity. This guy presented them with the fact he was unsafe to drive. That should have been end of conversation and dealt with afterwards instead of pressuring him to continue. This is regardless of what he did prior to his load.

Has it ever occurred to anybody that what Abe is doing is illegal? Since he had no consensuses to record the conversation let alone post if on Y-Tube. I wonder if I'm the only one at question here. Does he have the right to do what he did or is grounds for termination.

I'm sitting here delivering my load hope they finish soon. I have to head to Laredo to pick up my next one. But maybe because I have been on the Report. I can claim Cardiovascular rhythms/getting patty fired up. For my failure to get my load picked up on time. But right now. HEB is taking its sweet time and they probably went on another break. I have till 1700 to be in Laredo but the broker and dispatcher I don't think have faith in my skills.

yes it has, numerous times throughout the 47 pages of this thread. I dont know legally if he can do that or not. I took some kind of law class in college, first test I failed everything but my name. Thats about the extent of my law background.

IMO, if a driver called me under those circumstances to say that he was tired I would be in disbelief. They said the same thing to him...."Did you not sleep?" he said "Yeah I had a good 10 then I got another 10 but I couldn't sleep?" At this point I am looking at the clock and saying to myself by his own account he has only been awake 12 - 13 hours and he is falling asleep? I heard dispatch test him to see how tired he really was and when the driver held firm, they deferred to the driver's better judgement as they should have done. they may have been a little callous but if you need a friend get a puppy.

My opinion is based on my morals and ethics. Interesting to note that yours are based on "feeling good".
