His butt is golden now. At least for awhile. Wonder if he will ever have to drive nights again? Maybe he gets weekends off now also...

It's verbose and I have better things to do. So I'm piecing it together from the posts. 10 hour break, 20 miles to shipper, 10 hour break, shuts down 160 miles away. Says he was up for 17 hours. Fill in what I'm missing.

    Question 5:
Do telephone calls to or from the motor carrier that momentarily interrupt a driver’s rest period constitute a change of the driver’s duty status?

Guidance: Telephone calls of this type do not prevent the driver from obtaining adequate rest. Therefore, the FHWA does not consider these brief telephone calls to be a break in the driver’s off duty status.

Did I miss something? When did it become "moral" or "ethical" to pressure a driver into driving fatigued???

Patty, I hope you know this person intimately.
Otherwise, that is a disgusting post and not appropriate for the open forum!

Thank God that Super Truckers are a dying breed!
I just pray that don't take anyone else with them when they go!!!

    Another cheap shot! Good one!

And waste all that time actually getting the facts??? No way, he would rather take cheap shots at the character of someone he has never met!!!

I am talking about whatever he posted on his Face book page --or the the outcome of the whole saga.
No matter what anyone thinks about the whole situation Abe seems to be a decent guy, and may have been an excellent employee with a 100% perfect employee record ... I dunno ..--but being "Hung" for what may have been one incident he posted on "Youtube" seems a little harsh.
Some where he mentioned how he liked "Truck driving" and those that wish him gone for this incident must remember what kind of driver could fill his seat if he leaves.
I would rather have Abe who can speak English and stops when driving tired than ..... "Well you know".

    pattyj and truckerdave1970 Thank this.
