It wasn't bad when DHS had control. When UPS bought them out it went to hell. Drivers wouldn't pick up the scheduled time or not even at all if they felt like it. If a box didn't get many drops, it was put on the back burner. My last job, Monday was the deadline to drop to get paid Friday. When UPS took over I couldn't count the paydays that were shorted because of non-pickup. The problem lies on the drivers picking up. UPS drivers think they are above other truck drivers and could care less. They will do whatever makes their job easier. They still get paid the same. My understanding is the logs go in a seperate envelope and get shipped. The BOL, trip report, receipts goes to a scan facility and gets scanned to the trucking companies computer.

The way we are doing it now, everything gets scanned. It all goes to ACS first then downloads to the company computers. Some of the logs go missing from that program but we can find them in the other system with the trips. Its messed up.

I've had restarts where I dropped my trip report before the pu time and it would be sitting in the box the next night. After about 6 months, UPS seemed to get better. I thought it was a learning experience for them. But you all say it's still screwed up. I begged our payroll to go to trip scanning, but for some reason they stick with them. I just got use to one small check, one big check, lol.

I have used trip pak the last two years and only had one package not delivered by the next am.

It may have been my fault and not in the box as needed.

I also will use the UPS box as well since they pick up there.

Do have a question that I have always wondered about.

There are trippak boxes in Canada. If you purchase it there, will they deliver overnight to US?

    Example.

    Edmonton, to Chicago.

A few of our drivers (me included) use Transflo's in-cab scanning, and the same thing happens to some of us. Just the other day I was read the riot act for "missing logs" that I knew I'd already scanned literally days ago. I even had the confirmation numbers and dates/times to prove it (there was also the fact that I was paid for those trips - something which would have never happened if they didn't receive the paperwork from me). On the other hand, I was indirectly accusing the staff of losing paperwork that I knew for a fact that they should have had. Thanks to your post I now suspect that neither of us is at fault.
