We have pretty much have all our bills drafted out and it's been that way for a long long time. Even when I was a trooper not making much at all and when I was driving. When we had problems a phone call to them they would hold off because things do happen.
Anyways I agree totally on the headset and kinda wonder about what he has gotten she may not know about with cash advances.

Now I been told Elite loves old Jevic / NCT drivers.
I call , tell him my problem with NCT , and Gary. He tells me he could maybe get me in an 09 , i ask him about breakdown he says we don't pay breakdown. I told him I'm not interested in an 09 with no break down pay. He says wait wait wait , let me see what I can do. Next day calls me back how about a 2010 , cascadia ?
Now this is like Oct 2012. I said that I could probably do. Next day , I call him to give him an update on when I could start and he says , his dispatcher gave the 2010 out , best he can do is 2008. I told him best I stay right here at NCT. I can get that right here. He's like wait wait , don't be so hasty. I replied we're getting off on the wrong foot already , and I'm not looking to go from and oldie with no break down pay to another oldie with no break down. He calls me back an hr later , says he's got a 2013 he can put me into. Now here the B.S. part .
Had he said at that point he might have to slip me into a 2010 with in the 1st couple weeks , I'd have told him lets not waste each other time.
He waits til I quit NCT , do orientation and am receiving the keys to the truck then tells me he might have to put me in something else within the 1st 2 weeks. I asked older that a 2010 ? He said no , and he'll try to make sure it's 2012 or better. I said ok. 10 days later traveling lightly , I ask him if I can make home in this or what , he says yeah. Go ahead get something to get you to the house and get the rest of your stuff. Okay , I do that on my way to Cali. Get a B/ H cali to Vineland to deliver 10am the day Sandy hits. I bang out San Diego to Vinelend NJ 2800miles 1/2 day to drive Thurs, Friday Saturday and Sunday , was Vineland Monday 10am delivering and back out Monday afternoon heading to Columbus. In and out before Sandy hit Oct 29 2012. Now I'd been out for almost 2 weeks prior to heading to Cali , and only stopped at home from like 1400 until the next morning and was rolling to LA. So I'd already worked it out with Monday's Dispatch the day Sandy was coming in that when I mty Tues I can head home. Well Tuesday's dispatch says no just like that , go Norwalk OH and load for Pennsauken. I said I got the okay to head home been out 3 weeks , they said go pick the load up. Then I do that and the guy that hired me in wants me to clear out into a shoe box type bunk 07 I9400 int.
And the reason was because he'd hired a team , and needs the newest truck he has which is the one I'm in. I wanted to detail exactly to a T , what my experience was with them. Even if now they have nice brand new equiptment , and I was ofered a job I would in no way consider it an option. I have a simple theory in life get me once with you stinking lies , shame on you , get me twice shame on me. It isn't gonna happen.
A lot of people have bad mouthed the company I'm now with for almost 4 yrs. Poly trucking , but let me say that the guy in HR at poly that hires , you can tell him every single thing that might present a problem and if he tells you it's not an issue , you can take that to the bank. I pride myself on honesty and integrity. And those that have no use for those traits , I have no use for them.
I don't want to waste their time nor mine. Lets be frank , lets cut through the bull ####, lets make an educated decision to either move forward or look elsewhere. Poly will lay it all out there so you can make an educated decision. Then back their promises by holding up their end of the bargain. I love that it's a quality trait in the business that's hard to come by. Sorry it's a book , but if you take the time to read , it might help ya in not being another stat.RookieJ1987 and bzinger Thank this. -

I worked for Elite Express for a year. I ran paper logs, I went to Diesel Dr in Effingham and turned my 2nd truck up from 66 to 75 on the floor and cruise, the first truck died due to a high pressure fuel pump breaking apart inside. I can tell you its best to run like you own the truck and be frecking pro-active about EVERYTHING. Arrange your own repairs, do your own preventive maintenance schedule, most times you have to arrange your own deliveries, know when you are going to be empty and have the guy in charge of loads from the west coast looking BEFORE you deliver your last load. Be a master at running paper logs. If you get to the yard and your truck is broken DO NOT TAKE the next load. Go to the shop and sort it out then run your load. There is no love or people looking out for you at the office. Only getting loads out matter. If you are going to be in town more than a day and they don't have a load outgoing run local for that 11 an hour instead of sitting on your duff. You are responsible for yourself, the truck, the trailer, and the loads you deliver. Be safe but you have to be willing to pro-actively work and you can make a decent paycheck there.

See pics how well Jim P takes his safetyposition at Elite Express! This is only one of their unsafe and dirty trucks!
Sorry for grammar errors, i dont have time toproof read, wanted this posted quick to warn ya’ll! The one bright spot is Jim K, he seems to care! To bad he works for them! -
BTW guys here is another disgruntled person that didn't make the cut at this company. All 9 of his post bash this place. I am still here and I can tell you that the company is still good. They even gave us raises when the elogs thing went into play so that we wouldn't lose any money in our checks for the loss in miles. Last year they added a driver lounge with tile showers and a kitchen. The parking lot is rutted they tell me its because that portion cant be paved because of wetlands but they grade it every so often to smooth it out. I will retire from here.Last edited by a moderator: Apr 17, 2018
