Will this have any major affect of the battery inverter or just overall maintenance

No. Just idle the truck while using the microwave.
    Get a 700 watt microwave.
That way your 1500 watt inverter can run it easily.
    40 bucks at Walmart.

Owner operator has nothing to do with it.
I wouldn't live out on the road without one.
It saves a ton of money.

And if you have the room in your truck.
Throw away that crappy igloo cooler that plugs
Into the cigarette lighter and get one of those
Small motel refrigerators that plugs directly into
    You inverter.
    80 bucks at Walmart.

    Now your ready to go.

The biggest danger is using long thin power cables from the batteries to the inverter. Doing that is a good way to set your truck on fire. You want the thickest gauge of cable with the shortest length possible to do the job.

Every truck stop also has a microwave or two. I've only been to one truck stop that wanted a dollar to use their microwave. The one's in truck stops aren't always clean, but if you know that in advance and keep your food in some appropriate container to heat it won't matter if the microwave is clean or dirty. I don't have room for one in my truck.

I think the last 2 companies making 12 volt microwaves went out of business. The Amazon page shows small microwaves and 12 volt food warmers. Food warmers are useful, you just have to plan on heating your food 30-60 minutes before you are ready. I used one for 2 years.

Found a low watt small microwave at Wally world , takes about 1 minute longer to warm stuff up but gets the job done . It's an extremely tight fit in the cubby under my cabinets but totally worth it .

Lots of trucks have built in fridges . Run a big dual door fridge freezer and I have a mini freezer. And not to forget the microwave

No. I recommend getting one of the toaster ovens big enough to cook a frozen pizza instead. Then you can make real food. A half decent one will run you about 100 bucks at Walmart. You can even broil a steak in them.

I have both and very rarely use the microwave.
