Can't speak for some of the other big box companies, but crst sends you to an outside trucking school that is fully accredited and serves both pre hires for that company and students who come in on their own. My class was about 80 20 for crst, and the guys I met who were attending on their own were going for four weeks and testing at the dmv, not.on site.

It seems to me that if you have earned your CDL, and are employed, "accredited" becomes pretty insignificant from then on. In short who gives a crap if it was from an accredited school or not. You already have a legal CDL. What am I missing?

Signing a contract is not a bonus it's a contract. Try leaving before it's complete and you'll see.

3 months experience isn't a new student driver. Unfortunately.

Advance writings of rule that were viewed in school had no grandfather exemption for ANY driver regardless of length of time one has been licensed.

I really think that would be a BS move on FMCSA's part, but then again, they seem to not give a crap and treat experienced drivers more harshly then new drivers; ie. CSA scoring. I guess time will tell the story.

I know a young man that just finished the license portion with Pam and is waiting to hit the road. He's a good guy and Pam is lucky to have him...
