Xpo is not a top lil. Imo they're one of the less desirable ltl companies I would go with based on speaking with their drivers (crappy pay etc)

Estes at least where I live has crappy equipment and have drivers on call if there's no work, you might ask how do I know, well I went to an interview and let's just say the environment is not friendly at all and also to the gent I spoke to during the interview he did not disclose to me that at some point I will be on call. I had to find out from a driver the next day when I told him about my interview with Estes. If anything old dominion they are super friendly and always going the extra mile at least that's my experience.

@Radman R&L carriers are not bad outfit. The only thing that sucks about them is the starting pay at 20 dls and you don't get no raise til you turn 3 yrs with the company putting you at top pay.

Well from what I know, Estes varies from terminal to terminal. If your name is anything to go by, you're by the little ones like McAllen, Temple, etc. The big terminals like Denver, Memphis, Dallas, etc are laid back and chill as ever. The environment varies honestly and I don't blame you. As far as pay, Estes pays just a bit more than ODFL. Equipment? ODFL has Estes beat no question there lol. Idk why Estes has so many crap internationals. Worst trucks ever

@KaoMinerva I'm from houston, Estes top pay is somewhere around 26 dls and some change while OD is somewhere in the 27dls and some change. So why not go to OD where your birthday is off and pay for, accrued vacation time every month which I believe it 2 days for a full month worked instead of waiting a whole full year to get a week vacation. Not to sound like a cheerleader but why not go to OD, I mean I'm not saying Estes is not great but then again you'll see the turnover low at OD.

Yea but at the same time ODFL where I'm from is a kamekaze circus. You will make over 100K, but so live with strict 34/hr resets and in your face management. I also don't waste my time being local and barely interact with people so...
