On the subject of "job hopping": Not really much I can do about it.

Looking over my resume and 3 of the last 5 jobs I worked either went out of buisness or downsized. Am I a bad worker? Or do I know to get off a sinking boat?

Guess it doesn't matter to the rats in HR.

DAC is the proverbial permanent record that your mother and 5th grade teacher warned you not to mess up or else you are in BIG trouble. It lists your accident history, failed drugs test, employment record with the major companies, etc. One bad mark and your career as a truck driver could be over or at least severely limited.

You can only hurt your DAC by leaving your employer on a bad note. Give the two weeks notice and make sure that you turn that truck in clean and at the proper location.

Dac is where employers record what they think of a driver. IF the driver doesn't give the employer any reason to give a bad report, then DAC is no problem. My DAC is fine despite working for some of the worst companies in the past 5 years including Swift, USA Truck, and CRST.

DAC is not even called DAC any longer they changed the name to USIS after they were sued by OOIDA for leaving false entries and making it difficult to correct reports.

They now will send anyone who has been accessed a notice informing them of the activity and who was doing the check.

I have to agree with staying away from leasing a truck. Unless you have been in this business for 10 years, don't lease a truck. You will be working and working, and giving your paycheck to whoever leased you the truck. Find a good company, and be happy with your paycheck every week. But don't get too picky about the companies. Yes there are some you should stay away from, but in general there will be pro's and cons to all companies. Find that steady job, and be happy with the paycheck. Drive safe, be on time, and stay legal. God is good.
