I was considering trying that this year, I got all my numbers so it should be easy enough to copy from last years tax return I had done at ATBS.

    PE_T Thanks this.

I don't separate fuel and DEF. DEF = diesel exhaust FUEL.

Unless you're tracking it for some reason, it's just more work.

Technically it's not fuel at all. It's Diesel Exhaust FLUID. It's a mix of Urea and distilled water.

Well it's called fuel. In the eyes of the IRS that's all that matter.

I agree with many of the responses above.
@Dave_in_AZ spread sheet system works fine
@HopeOverMope freezer bags works great. Then just taking a cold day off in February to do all the totals
I have been using Turbo Tax for several years. They are familiar with all sorts of industries. You give them the 6 digit code for the type of business you are in, and they compare your numbers to thousands of returns they handle, and warn you if there are any categories that are out of line.

If ur looking to store ur receipts i don't. I take a photo of them and upload them on the google cloud. Easy way to do it. Don't have to worry about keeping copys of them anymore

    PE_T and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
