The most advanced video game system in my house is an Atari 2600. Frogger, Asteroids, and Pac Man are definitely my favorites, but I've got a few other games too. No Donkey Kong, though....which sucks.

My dad was born in Leadville and remembers many a winter going over the pass in an old
    Ford sedan.

I88 is a great road with a couple hills, I86 on the other hand pretty much sucks both the road and it's potholes, which is what you'll be on until you hit I88 in Bingo. Take the high dollar route on I90 unless Buffalo is getting a bunch of lake effect snow, your EZ pass will work everywhere in the northeast. There's a big AMBest truckstop right in Chicopee.

the sooner the better. your going to have to drive in snow or ice sooner than later. I did and isnt as bad as it seems, i'm from fla never seen or driven in a car the same as you. Just do it watch the conditions if you dont feel safe then pull off and call your fm. If you have to chain then chain, etc its not that bad itll make you a better driver. Yes it can be sketchy but take it slow look ahead and travel safely. As far as a endorsement on your license to drive in snow thats ridiculous f'n johnny trucker over here. Plenty of noobs can and will drive in snow safely

LOL, or Cow haulers. Drove by the aftermath of a cow hauler flopping over near Elk Mountain on my way to Rock Springs. They were still loading the dead cows into the dump-truck as I passed. Then another roll-over west bound a few miles further. I love Wyoming, but yes, the weather around Elk Mountain/Arlington/Walcott can be bad this time of year.

Was running a load of propane down I-85 about a week or so ago and right over the WY/CO boarder was a empty cow hauler tipped over blocking the whole road. Wind around that area was gusting to around 50mph at the time. Cars and pickups could barely get around his nose on the shoulder, but no big trucks.

I just came through there. Wind at 50+ out of the west. I coasted most of 400 miles at 70+. Nice easy run. Burned an extra 400 miles of fuel getting up there though.

Yep....You can park in a few places before Vail E/B....Last truck stop is in Glenwood springs...With about 4 spots...Otherwise it's the view areas or the rest areas...Best thing to do is park in Eagle or Edwards overnight and then get up early the next morning....

You don't want to run Sunday afternoon past Silverthorne...The Yuppies in their Outbacks are all headed back home to Denver from skiing over the weekend.....What could normally be a couple hours from Vail Pass to 470, will take up to 5 hours on a Sunday afternoon.....

Well....You can take the 15 to 80 or run 40.....Like the DOT told me at the Dumont coop...He loves the winter...Fewer rigs on 70....I like it because the NAFTA rigs usually run 20 south (40 can get slammed in Flag, NM, and through the Panhandle...)......More money for me and those others who don't let a little frozen white sheyat get in the way......
