Did you ever get back to Dodge City? I don't know I missed the continuation of this thread. You seemed to be driving the truck normal, once you got into rhythm the regens had stopped. I drove a Volvo with a different company that acted similarly once the injectors got replaced. I must say, I'm like you when it comes to Dodge City. I like going there too for some reason. I don't get to go through there enough. Honestly, I like riding through all of that southern half of Kansas.

No, haven’t been to Dodge yet. Ran it hard from Idaho Falls to Sydney, NE the first day and seemed to have some issues wanting to regen. Took it easy (As best I can, lol) From NE to MD then down to FL and everything acted normal. No full regens and I tried forcing them too. Just the normal passive 15 minute ones that I get while idling..normally every 4 hours.

Not sure what to make of it now. Truth is the DPF wasn’t clogged like I was led to believe, just a high soot level that wasn’t getting burned off.

Sitting at home now having a little R&R (drinking, loud music starting fires.. typical crap old people do, lol).
Got my 4th of the year load out of FL Friday morning heading back to Twin Falls, ID.. Same exact load I got last time, Identical weight etc.
Delivers Tuesday morning early am so we’ll see what happens. IMG_5489.jpeg

As promised earlier in the thread, the dealership account of what they did.

At 300,000 miles your reaching the lower end of the DPF ash accumulation capacity and i think the frequent regen calls are likely due the DPF differential pressure that is logically evident and especially consistent with your idling habits. In your situation I would look into a good two way code reader like an Ancel HD3300 (no affiliation). It has the ability to do a Forced Regen which will face cleaning the filter(s) and drop the differential pressure significantly. However, I would advise that DPF filter cleaning or replacement are not far offand are consudered routine maintenance. There are many subpar routines for cleaning depending on where you go as the equipment involved can be very expensive forca smaller shop to acquire. Baking is the established routine, vs Ultrasonic and the newer Aqueous, which is gaining in popularity. Albeut the high temps of a kiln can damage the substrate of a filter and inevitably could damage the One-Box thus leading to a costly replacement $10-14k +labor. Overall, one must weigh the risk of the savings on cleaning vs replacement.
