If all else fails, I've even seen ads of Craigslist Phoenix for Uber drivers. Something like leasing a car from them and then doing the driving. Not sure about the details, as we all know that is where the devil is, but that's a last ditch resort.

If Trump ramps up the economic climate and oil prices continue, there will be increased demand for CDL drivers, especially in the oil field. Ran into a few oil field guys at Knight orientation back in April, but I'm sure that oilfield guys will go back there because they can make more than doing OTR. Lots of guys went to OTR in the last 2 years because of depressed oil prices.

If Trump does infrastructure, inflation is going to take off and that means high oil prices, unless the interest rate is increased to kill it all. Lots of variables to think about and it's all a crap shoot for the outsider common man.

They ask on the app what you want to run.

I don't blame the op. Don't be a doormat in this business.

Reefer is a whole lot different than Dry Van as Reefer is a lot more live loads. And ,as far as working for them, any company I have ever worked for if apply for a certain position I ger that position. These are not slave days so please you guys stop being one.

Flight to BWI isn't that much further if you've flown from Asia. An AZ CDL is inexpensive. Nevada ain't bad either, just get a box at a maildrop that will let you use their street address.

So True! No sales by the company there is no business. No business and the drivers will just sit along with everybody else. No broker, no load, no account to service then sit and wait till there is one. Sales is where it all starts. Most business comes down to two things; get the business and deliver the product/service. That's it! Got to get the business first, and that's Sales.

It may be just me, but I hate the term "driver leader". I mean what the heck, the driver is the most important employee these companies have. I don't need a "leader", "manager", or any other stupid ### name they have for a #### dispatcher.

Why are drivers more important than salemen or mechanics or dispatcher? A large company needs them all. Take any one of them out of the equation and the company folds.

Ok, maybe you have a point. Which plays to my point. With all the silly names they give dispatch, creates a hierarchy with in the company. They give them names that sound like they are above the driver instead of their equal
